...surprise surprise!
Haven't been out as I have been trying to get into this landscape milarky! No new birds, no landscapes either Blinkin' weather and work.
Took this a few weeks ago at Gigrin
comments appreciated
1d2, 500/4is + 1.4x, cropped from horizontal to portrait which sounds better than a 50% crop

Nice shot Graeme
I could of done with a 1DMII when i went as my good old 20D was trying to focus on the BG trees rather then the Kites .But to try and have the kite in flight on the middle focus point is hard when they come in for the food grrrrrrrrrrr.
It's a great photo Graeme! And if it's not cropped from horizontal, even more so. They are just magnificent birds and you positioned it nicely in the frame. Eye contact and green background are additional bonus marks.
Cheers,
Marko

Super shot Graeme
You've done it again - please tell me this is cropped from landscape

Brilliant composition, really strong line of the wing in the frame.

Thanks for the comments.
LOL, Andy I suspect that it is a crop from horizontal I have enough trouble keeping the thing in focus and following. Getting a full frame portrait shot like this would need someone skilled at the back of the camera
