I shot this back in early July. This one was taken a couple of minutes before the one on my Web site so it has less alpenglow on the peak, but it has some nicer clouds. I like the transition of seasons in the shot - ice in the lake still and flowers on the hillsides. Comments appreciated!

A nice shot with lots going on. At the resolution, the sky seems a little posterized (probably from the down res) and the scene overall a little soft.

I agree Mel. The image is a little soft. I think it looks a bit saturated too after seeing it posted here. Above is an update. I'm still trying to get adjusted to the Adamus sharpening technique for tweaking my scans.
Wow - this is quite a scene! Lake, ice, snow, reflection, alpenglow, flowers, clouds... Short of having a moose walk through here, I'm not sure there's anything you could want for.
I love the composition and great job on the the exposure. Like Mel, I've noticed that your recent posts appear a bit soft. I thought the first one or two may have been insufficient DOF, but it may just be that you need to refine the sharpening technique.

Spectacular shot, Josh! It has it all, including three seasons in one shot!

Josh,
Your comp makes me feel as though I am sitting on that flowered slope looking at the scene. Gorgeous colors and a unique capture of all the various elements.

When I first saw the shot I thought "Dang that look like Velvia". I was thinking you shot with digital. Then I saw the particulars and laughed at myself. Well done.

Great colors, and you're right, the mix of seasons is very interesting!
