Beak, Schmeak
A stiff breeze was blowing the arrowroot back and forth, so that this young Green Heron's face was revealed and then concealed once every second or so. I tried to time the shot to get the bright eye.

When I looked at it in the computer, at first I was disappointed that I didn't get the whole face, but then my son told me he thought it was striking.

What think, gang?

Ya know I think the shadow of the beak is the missing link-makes it work for me too-smart kid you have

I think you have done an excellent job capturing this green heron in its element. Beautiful photograph

The shadow helps, but I think I would prefer to see the whole beak. Everything else is primo!
