A little more room would be ideal IMO.

other than that this is a very nice detailed shot of the Stonechat :toast: :toast:

ps is this a crop if so do you have any more of the perch ?

This really is a fine image Stuart. I think I like the crop, though part of me wonders if a tiny bit more of the whins at the bottom might have made it even better. Don't know though - bg is absolutely spot on and I like the clean space above the bird.

Cheers

Alan, Malcolm, this is a crop, should of mentioned that, the problem is showing more of the perch as there are ugly oof gorse branches, cant clone them so its cropped.

Thanks for the interest ,

Stuart,

It looks to be a fine image with a nice pose from the bird, but I do feel it is being a little spoilt by the crop, it def needs more space at the bottom and the left and right.... why not show more of the perch? gorse is their habitat here so I see no problem in including it, even if it is ugly and OOF, perhaps you could post one showing the perch?

All the best

Hi Phil, here is a version with more perch showing, you know the more I look at it the more I now prefer it.

Stuart..

I agree it is much better than the tight crop.... about half an inch from the bottom and the same from the left and I think you have a very nice image... hope you don't mind but here is my vision of the image..

No dont mind at all,yes I agree it looks much better the way you have cropped,

Thanks,

Stu.

Its a corker Stu :toast:

Great detail, and the head-on pose works nicely for me!

Much prefer the reposts, as the oof gorse seems very minor, thanks to the strong prime subject.

Hi Stu,

It is a cracker, I like Phil H's crop the best. You have captured a really good image, but I know how difficult it can be to post the right crop.
