Super Alan, like this a lot, the stacking is perfect and has given you just the right depth.

Good image Alan,
Plant ID - it is of the Geranium family. ID would depend on size - up to 1.5cm across then I would say herb robert.
How big was it?

I have to say I am impressed with this technique Alan. The flower just seems to pop right out at you! Thanks for sharing

Great image produced by expert implementation of the stacking technique, Definitely a menber of the Geraniaceae, but not Herb Robert (G. robertianum) IMHO. Looks like a Garden cultivar to me.

But i dont know the flower
In this one i concentrated the staking on the flowers head. But left enough DOF so the BG is visible(hence the f5).
