Rockfire...
From Antelope Canyon last year. I just started to look seriouly at this part of the archives, I may have some neat stuff to come out of it actually. I love how the light kinda created a flame look, let me know what yall think. Thanks for C&C...:)

51 seconds.....interesting....I wonder if you would have stopped it down more if you would have gotten more of a star burst there in the middle!!!

Not sure. I don't really remember why I didn't go f22? I was kinda shocked when I went back to see the EXIF to type it in here and saw that it was for so long. I then went though the rest of this comp to see if I had one that was smaller than f16 but I didn't. Oh well, coulda shoulda.

Great color and texture and the pinpoint spot of light is a nice addition. At what point does diffraction start becoming a problem with the 5D? I would think that f16 would be a better choice than 22 whenever the added DOF with 22 isn't needed.

This is pretty cool, Jeremy. It does look kind of like a flame. With a long exposure like this, some headlamp fill on the dark shadowed portion in the bottom right may have worked to bring out more detail--but it's hard to say if it would help the photo or hurt it. In a way, the shadow does add mystery.

Very nice comp. I like the dark shadow in LR as it gives it more 3D effect. Mike, I believe headlamp fill would have warmed out the blue/purples which really make this shot so abstract.
