Anybody have a Copal 1 lensboard?

I recently acquired another 4x5 camera and after ordering my new lensboards realized I screwed up and still need another Copal 1 lensboard (Wista/Ebony style lensboard (right Brent D?)).

I thought I would check with the crowd before placing another order. Do any of you possibly have a lensboard available that you would part with?

If anybody is interested in a Wisner 4x5 camera I have one for sale.

Joe,

When we buy lenses for LF cameras they come with a shutter already installed. Copal shutters are probably the most common and they come in a vareity of sizes depending on the lenses you have. Copal 0 is the smallest size (I think). Actually I am not sure what camera the lensboard you have above is for (looks a little small for a Copal 1).

I just checked my stuff. I have two spare Copal 0's. SOL on the Copal 1, though.

Anyone need a Copal 0 lensboard? Wista-style, generic brand.

Oooh, oooh! Me, me!! Rich L., I'll drop you an e-mail! I've been using a home made Copal 0 on that 135mm I got last year! Works fine, but always thought a real one would be best! Talk to you later!

Rich, are really going to stoop to using that Wista logo lensboard on your new Ebony???

I'll get a black Sharpie to fix that problem.

Ouch. That hurts. LF elitist.

Sounds good, Brent. I don't seem to have many spare minutes lately, but I'm sure it will be in your hands before the aspens change.

Rich V, will that Sharpie modification increase the value of the lensboard, or only the quality of the photos?

I shouldn't tease, my stuff is a couple rungs down the ladder from Wista. Even with that handicap, though, it still produces the occasional keeper!

Edit: Now that I think about it, most of my keepers are from the Nikon 300M ---- mounted on an Ebony "top-hat" lensboard. Maybe there IS something to that.
