I told you guys I was done with this stream and its flowers...I lied!
I had my wisdom teeth pulled (final 4 of 5 total) and then went stumbling around the wilderness on Vicodin (no I wasn't driving) . I took a number of falls but, it was good to get in the fresh air! Anyway, if I've seemed rather chatty lately...now you know why!

This is one of the best shots I've seen posted anywhere online in a while. The falls are a little too centered for me, but thats all I can nit about. Definitely one that should gobble up a couple square feet of wall space.

This is photography... and this is photography on drugs... any questions?
That's a great one, Hans! Particularly the foreground with the flowers and rocks and splash pool. I kinda wish the white cloud was somewhere else or gone, though. To me, it fights a bit with the part of the waterfall on the left. Not a very big quibble, though. It's a beautifully captured scene.
And good riddance to the teeth!

Agree with others, this is a WW shot. Everything is in the right place at the right time.

Very nice Hans!! Very richly lit and the gamut of color is super. Well done!

It's a beautiful shot and the processing is spot on. My only nit is I would have liked to see a little more of that third cascade.

Thanks everyone! Great to get some positive comments!
Something to mention is that I had to lay on my side, with tripod as low as it could go, on a very unstable and steep hillside of lava rock gravel. I slipped several times knocking the camera over and filling my pack with rocks. This was taken with the Tokina 12-24mm at 12mm in order to get the whole scene. Turning the camera to the left showed the hillside and was not as photogenic (although I wish I could have shown the left-most cascade better).
Catherine. Thanks for the critique. I did take a shot without clouds but, I didn't like it as much.
Apart from everything else that was said, I like the way the whole scene comes together, with the flowers at the bottom to boot.
I've watched the whole series develop. Good work!

That's a beauty, Hans - my favorite kind of picture. Plus, you've gotten kudos from a tough crowd on this sort of image..! (e.g., with lots of stuff going on... again, my favorite kind!) This has the added bonus of being a bit different than the standard PNW scene in terms of color and form. Very nice!
