Today. . .

Was using the restroom in a lynwood qfc and noticed an image from kerry park framed and hanging on the wall. Curiosity always brings me to examing the fine print for the photographer's name; this name stood out. Copyright Mark Windom 2005. I'm not sure what they're implying by hanging it in the restroom, but at least your work is in the public.

Seems like an appropriate place for one of my shots.
Hopefully my phone number wasn't on the wall also.

I haven't sold prints for years so I'm not sure where this came from. I did take a bunch of framed photos to the dump about two years ago, maybe someone grabbed it from there.?

Mark, at least your images made it into frames....

I just cleaned up my hard drive the other day and erased about 5000 images that never made it anywhere!!!!

I've never printed one of my photos. It would be a dream come true to have one framed and hanging in an established business...even if it were in the restroom of a convenience store!

So from my perspective...WAY TO GO MARK

Hans, I hardly ever print my own stuff.

I just had an order come in for 1 16x20 and 2 8x12's that are going into an appraisal office in Houston Texas.......I was happy about that!!!

That's great Darren! Must feel pretty good to get an order for your work.

A 16x20 too...

yeah it did....it's been a while.....I went back and reworked some images...and they sold.....I was stoked....this has the possibility to generate more orders for others in the office too!!

If you've ever been inside the men's restrooms at the Oregon Convention Center, then you know that there's an engraved tile of a Columbia Gorge waterfall above each urinal, just for inspiration... so at least Mark's photo was there for a somewhat less practical purpose!
