Banff/Jasper Fall Color?

Anyone know if the 2nd week of Sept is too early for any fall color in Alberta Rockies?

I spent 3 weeks there last year, and 3 yrs ago, and I found the first week of Ocober ideal both times, based on the recommendation from an NPN'er who lives there. Hope he'll see this and pipe up! I'm sure local rainfall has a major influence.
