The Tip at the Top - a SOA shot
I still really like taking these "SOA" shots, as its cool what can be produced by using the very shallow DOF.

SOA = "Shallow on arrival" - where you use a very shallow f number(f2.8 is what i used) to pick out a part of the subject.Plus you end up with awesome looking Bokeh  .

Again a shot like this wont appeal to many peeps  .I just want to keep bring'ing different kinds of shots to the table.

20D
EF100 2.8
Tri-pod, cable release
ISO 100
1/8 @ f2.8
Expo comp +1/3

C & C welcome

Thank you for looking

What I like about this type of shot is the subtle tonal variations and abstract patterns.

This works for me, in an arty way. Very nice. :toast:

cheers

Very effective Alan,

A simple image, but very difficult to pull off.

Beautiful, I very much like the simplicity here and the colours are stunning. Tristan
