Charity
This was sitting in a folder since spring because I like the composition but, the light and clouds weren't that great. A b&w conversion with some dodging of the clouds seems to have solved my concerns. B&W conversion isn't something that I understand very well or have much practice at. Thanks for you comments.

How funny...I am doing the same thing right now...but I am at a loss for digital black and whites....just can't get them to work for me....

This is perfect...I really like your perspective on this..

Digital B&W is as simple as knowing how to mix the color channels and balance the luminosity levels. Just experiment. After that, a little skill with the dodge/burn tools goes a long way. I like this perspective as well, and the conversion looks great.

Luminosity what??????????????? I told you my photo shop skills are limited.....

I do much better in a darkroom with chemicals and trays and redlights...

This is great, Hans. The conversion is emphasizing the right elements and the composition is nice as well.

Sounds like Darren needs to hit a few more of the photo geek meetings, LOL. Nice job on the conversion Hans. I like it a lot.

Excellent conversion. I also like your composition with the FG and MG elements leading your eye to the mtn.

A very fine piece Hans! I think the conversion is done quite well.

This really rocks! All aspects of this image are simply terrific. Your conversion is spot on and the crispness really grabs my eyes.

The only tidbit of suggestion I have is to do something with the dark spot on the rocks and it's refelection at the left center edge of the frame, just left of the tree.

Hans, you're making me crave a trip to the Cascade Loop right now.
