Here is a shot from Argentine pass I took back in July that I have been meaning to get comments on. I believe that the two peaks are Grays and Torreys peaks.

I think they are Grays and Torrey too. The shot is nicely balanced and the skies are dramatic. But I think there is something needed in the processing. I can see the evidence of shadow from the clouds overhead on Grays, but there isn't much contrast. Perhaps if you could increase the contrast in these areas, it would give the shot more punch.

Hi Randy,
You are correct...those are Grays/Torreys peaks in the BG. I think your shot is well exposed. The composition is pleasant in that it documents where you are but the perspective is a bit off for me. Maybe framing the two 14'ers between the two cairns would've been interesting. Did you take any other comps? The light is not terribly impressive when this was taken. I'll bet it'd be a much prettier shot at sunrise or sunset. I like your second shot better. It has great detail and a sense of distance. I haven't been up this way in years and this brought back nice memories for me
Hi Randy - you've got a really nice scene here. The stormy skies are great, and I like the subdued lighting here. The rockpile makes for a nice lead-in, but I do think that they compete a little too much with the mountains. Walking forward a little more, past the big divot, might have let you keep the pile in the frame as a lead-in to Grays and Torreys, but allowed the eye more room to explore the mountains.
