Curious what you think. I shot this last night during the Eclipse. I had an airplan fly right across the moon when I took the in focus shot for this 2 image composite. Lucky me but I'm thinking I might remove the foilage and just have the moon and flight path of the plane.
Nothing I'd be able to print really huge, but still interesting, I thought.

The moon is awesome John. The jet is difficult to see at this size. I'd prefer this without the foliage...I think the moon stands on its own here and the foliage require to much attention.

John, great composite of two exposures on the moon. Most people don't realize how huge the contrast is between the shadowed and light sides of the moon during an eclipse. I took some similar multiple exposures, but so far have not had much luck combining them to get a natural looking moon as you have. Mind sharing your technique?
I agree with Hans on the foliage.

Great shot and I would remove the leaves also. I should have been up and tried.

Sean, you are so right - when the moon truly hit outside of the earth's shadow, it was amazingly bright. This show was just BEFORE that really happened thus no blown out for the brighter side.... I got lucky on the timing for this one.
Here is a shot of just the moon. Wish I knew the HTML to embed this image into my message, but I'm not that savy.
