Greens are oversaturated in some areas and the luminosity adjustments look unnatural to the point of being a slight distraction IMO. There's some weird color shifts in places too, like the magenta fringing on the log at LLC. It's not a bad shot by any stretch, but I'd probably bring it back a little closer to the original file. I like the composition and perspective very much.

I like the shot and agree with Marc mostly. Could some of the luminosity adjustment just be spotty sunshine? Haven't been there for over 20 years and can't remember its position to the sun. :jump:

Nice comp and view here. However, I do agree with the comments already. Some greens are a little over the top and a fix of the magenta on the log and the rocks on the upper falls.

I reworked it a bit following Marc's excellent suggestions. It should be here:

I was pushing it pretty hard and felt I had really gone too far, but I wanted some other opinions...

I agree Michael, shooting Nikon does offer a bit of a "different pallette" from what most are used to it seems, though the
saturation was/is a bit off the scale on the first one.

So what do you all think of the re-work???

The re-work is excellent - much better on all points mentioned above!

I really like thist shot! I think the greens in the ULC are slightly distracting because they a very bright and might help with a slight burn. I still digg it though. It fits with its name as a dreamy scene where I would expect a fairy to fly by.

Great perspective and framing of the falls--one of my favorites of it. The dappled light spots give this a real fantasy art feel. The reworked version is much improved over the first.

Thanks everyone!

Sometimes it just gets hard to judge after staring at the thing for a few hours... anyone know what I mean?
