Funny how a little rain after a week of 100 deg temps can make everything look like a steam bath. This was taken at the animal enclosure in the county park, Lake Jacomo, the other morning. This big guy came straight towards me until he figured out that I did not bring any carrots. Then he retreated. I felt so sorry for him too. There was a big swarm of flys attacking him. No my sensor is not that dirty. Those are all flys. This was taken thru a chain link fence with my 70-200 with a 1.4x attached..

nice capture, Dale. It looks like he may have been a recent tussel with one of his friends?

That's a lot of flies! Nice, though!

This bull has the makings of a big rack. Hopefully the flies will leave him alone long enough for him to bulk up before the rut. Nice head on portrait Dale.
