I got too tired last night to add to my eclipse thread, so here's a new one to show images taken after the sun came up. The clouds swirling around Mt. Evans, Bierstadt and points west made for some interesting shots...

But as I stood there, I got to wondering what it looked like over there, where the clouds were hugging the peaks. Off to Loveland Pass! This first one was as I was walking out to those tarns beyond Pass Lake. The way the clouds were rising up from the valley, highlighting these trees, stopped me in my tracks!

In general, the clouds were putting on quite a show. Some difficult exposure decisions, based on the backlit clouds, made it somewhat of a learning experience.

Todd, the 5th one is just as spectacular as the one you posted in ESS. All are quite nice, but the clouds in the 5th one are just stunning!
Wow Todd! You really do have this incredible relationship with the clouds. I agree with Robert. The 5th image is my favorite! Simply beautiful!

#5 is my fav too, but #6 followed by #1 aren't far off. Tough exposures or not, you nailed them and this is trademark Todd Caudle stuff. Nice job cloudman.

You REALLY need to get out more! Great series, I like the trees in #2 and #5 is kinda nice too.

And now I'm liking #4 even more - just seems like a blissful place to sit down, relax and appreciate the show.
