Weather around here is rather miserable for landscape photography, and I was stuck by computer doing web adjustments, so not much time for going out. That's an excuse for posting old stuff. Here is another one: this is the second highest peak in Slovenia (2740 m) and I like how textures in limestone are emphasized by snow.
Thanks for comment. No, I didn't camp, as it wasn't necessary. There is a 1600 m high road pass just opposite to this mountain. And it's only about hour and a half drive from my home place. So I'm visiting this place quite often.
Cheers,
Marko

Marko,
Thi sis the sort of image that makes me want to go and see the place for myself. Very nice - My only nit is the dark woods in the lower left hand side and, to be honest, there isn't much you could do about them - they just seem, for me, to slightly drag my eye there and away from the absolute beauty of the peaks in that gorgeous light. But then again it is way better than anything I have! Thanks for sharing
Don't know if the rocks have a natural reddish tint, and have been enhanced by the light, or whether this is purely a result of the light, but it certainly is an attractive setting
I assume the horizontal lines across certain sections of the mountain face are a result of glacier movement from the distant past, as i had witnessed this type of etching on a few of the Scottish hills, when i lived there.
