Been lurking here for a little while admiring the stunning work and very constructive comments in equal measure - thought it was about time I stuck my toe in the water! This was taken back in glorious April, at Redcar on Teesside. C&C most welcome, I know I have a lot to learn!

Best wishes

Simon

Hi Simon,

Nice to see another northerner posting. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing the image from your pbase account. You might like to check out the following article on PBase How do I get the direct linking URL - it should be something like:

http: //www.pbase.com/image/(image number).jpg
or
http: //www.pbase.com/image/(image number)/medium.jpg
etc

Hope that helps.

Many thanks for that advice, can't seem to edit the url but I'll re-post with the proper link after 72 hours. Simon

Hi Simon,

As it's your first post (and it's a bit deflating when it goes wrong!)....I've taken the liberty of uploading & hosting the image on the NPN server for you - it should be visible above this message!

Great first post Simon. Nice low angle, exposure looks good and nice size in the frame, nice light and nicely composed. What more could you ask for! May be tempted to clone out the bits in the water on the left though

and also your techs look incorrect if you were using a 1.4x

Great post Simon!
I agree with Graeme on the cloning suggestions!
Well done and welcome!

Works nicely for me Simon!!

I like the implied motion, thanks to the slightly blurred leg, and with the suggested tidying up, it will round the image off very nicely!

Very attractive waders that I have not yet managed to get close enough to. Like the angle but the highlights are a tad overdone IMHO

Thankyou all for the warm welcome, useful suggestions and Nick's help with the post! I shall be having a further tinker with this one.

Hi Simon, and good to see another lurker turning to posting :toast:!

It's a good looking photo and I like panoramic crop very much. As Graeme pointed out, a bit of cloning would improve it even more.

Cheers,
Marko
