Hi Christian,
Welcome to the forum
A nice first post, that I feel needs a bit more work in CS. I feel it needs a little more USM and just a tweak of levels/curves and a touch of saturation to make it "pop". The whites are bit blown but this is not really noticeable.
Yeah im no PS wizzard, but im learning. I'll give it another go soon.
thanks for your advice

Hi Christian,
I hope you don't mind but it is such a nice image I have had a quick play in CS2 to give you an idea of the potential of the shot.
All I have done pulled the levels in a bit (sliders) given curves a gentle "S" plus 4 on contrast, plus 8 on saturation and six rounds of USM at 100%,0.2,0.
If you are not happy I will take it down immediatly.
Regards
Rob

Hi Christian
Welcome to the forum and judging by your opening image I hope we will see many more from you. I agree Rob's tweak in PS has given your image more 'pop' - you had already done the hard bit by capturing your image in the field and you can always brush up on your PS skills later!

A fine first image, really like the setting, Rob's little bit of PP has lifted it, but as David points out the hard work is in getting the image in the first place, everything else will fall into place after a little bit

again, thank you for a nice reception to the forum
Rob, yes i clearly see what you mean, and what a difference that adjustment did to my photo, wow
i've been reading alot and trying some of the tips you guys mention here, and so far it works
great. Thanks a bunch
The feather detail in this picture were almost non-existing, but now, after using your described
method, im quite pleased with the result (yeah the whites are a bit blown, but i'll live)
