Disappearing Photos?

Perhaps I'm not reading all the fine print, but can anyone tell me why in the main forums when you click on "All Photos" for some people it only shows posts from the recent past, while other people still show posts dating back several years? I have only managed 12 posts in the main forums since I joined, which isn't much, but clicking on "All Photos" only brings up my two most recent. Other folks have images dating back to '05 or '06. Do you need to achieve some sort of special status to not have your posts dropped, or is there a special "advanced-level" user fee that gives photos a longer life on NPN? Perhaps only editors picks stay in the mix?

Just currious.

Photos are deleted after 30 days unless they have recieved and 'Editor's Pick'.
