Hi all. It's been awhile since I last posted here. Thought I'd share an image here that I shot last night. We had a great sunset and actually got something called rain here in Bishop yesterday. Haven't had any of that stuff for awhile  I have another one from this little storm and location in M&N here

Thanks for looking! :wavey:

I always KNEW that the Pot O'Gold was up in the Sierras:smile:
Great light on that ridge-line too..
Interesting contrast to the other image.
Was this after the other one or a cloud covering the ridge-line?
Nice balance of the dark space at the bottom and sky above the rainbow...
Thanks for sharing both of these.... I miss the Sierras after the rain...
I grew up with that wonderful aroma....

in gratitude,
Nelcha

Thanks everyone!
Nelcha: yep, this was taken a bit after the one in M&N.

Cory,

Awesome capture! What a grand site to witness. Loved the post in M&N as well.

Just an incredible sky and I also love the last strip of light on the mountains.

Great shot.

Lon

ps. Hey, keep us posted on any hint of fall color you may see meandering about the easten sierra.

WOW Cory, what a really sweet piece of light and rainbow going on here. I rarely visit the M&N area but did so to see the other image mentioned. Being an old phone man and seeing the older wooden power poles in that scene was a really nice shot IMO. Might make a good cover for a So Cal Edison or L.A. DWP cover. Both are very nice scenes captured expertly.

Nicely done, Cory. While the rainbow itself is very striking, I am also enjoying the play of light in the sky and the tops of the mountains.

Good to see you posting again Anil. You must be pretty busy these days!

Lon, thanks for the comment. It was great to be out amongst it all. I had to pinch myself! And as you requested, I've posted a fall color report. Thanks for the reminder, I hadn't even thought of doing that. DUH

Paul: glad you like them. I could show you some really old utility poles I found in bishop creek. I think they might've just made them on site from the surrounding trees! theres some serious knots in these poles! You've got an excellent idea about sce or dwp using that image. I hadn't even thought of it. I'd kinda written stock off. Great suggestion and thanks! I'll keep that in mind.
