Noise Reduction Plugin for Elements

I use Elements 5.0. I'm thinking about buying the Noiseware plugin for $50.

Noiseware has more appeal to me than any of the others I've looked at because you don't have to mess with profiles.

Has anyone used any noise reduction plugin with Elements, and is it better than Elements' native noise reduction filter?

Thanks.

Lance -

I have Neat Image with PS Elements 4. I find that it works great and is fairly simple and intuitive to use (although the others seem to be as well). As far as the profile thing goes, it's VERY simple. You can load what they (Neat Image) think is a decent profile for your camera, or you just hit the auto profile button. It takes a couple of seconds. I'd imagine Noiseware does something similar, but possibly under the covers.

From what I've seen Neat Image and Noise Ninja (with which I'm familiar) are way better than Elements built in. I'd guess Noiseware is too. Most, if not all of these, are available to download on a trial basis - I'd suggest trying them out.

I use Noise Ninja with CS3. I would assume it's compatible with Elements as well. As David metioned, the profile issue is basically a non issue, just load it and go. Very easy. I'm not familair with Noiseware, but I've been extremely happy with Noise Ninja.

Thanks, Bill. I think I'm gonna try something, just not sure which one yet.
