I guess it is official now, Hurst has lost it , Taking close up images with the longest rig I can muster (800mm)
Was also just about to topple into the lake where I was balancing on the bank in an attempt to get back far enough... Was walking back to the car when I spotted these two and decided to go for it....
All the best

Well worth the effort Phil - clonking image and I don't mind the OoF greenery FG in the least - NICE ONE
Great Shot
I am so jealous, I managed to see a couple mating yesterday, But hubby had my camera!
Even if I did have the camera, my picture wouldnt have been as good as yours :-)

Fantastic picture. Leaf in the bottom right hand corner is a little bit distracting for me but still great.

Its a well detailed and nicely framed shot Phil
Last weekend i tried my luck with these chaps using my 400mm + 1.6, and although i binned the lot of them, the 400/2.8's have a useful minimum focus distance, and less need for tubes, me thinks

Cool shot. 800mm macro, that's the way to go, and I thought my 180mm was heavy.
cheers
