Here is a shot, that was taken last year. I was really lucky. When I arrived at the park it started to rain, a heavy storm showed up. Despite the bad condition I hiked to the Arche. When I hiked up, all tourists were running down to the parking lot :). When I made it to the top, I saw that there was another photofreak as me :).
After a few minuits when I was there the storm stopped and I had a great sunset.

I want to say thank you very much to all of you here writting great tips. I am coming as a student from Germany to Colorado finally, and I will keep looking here.
Bye

We often make our own luck, and you hiking up to Delicate Arch when others were running for cover proves it. The rewards, when they come, can be rich.

What beautiful light, and the passing storm left you with wonderfully clean and clear air. Congrats on braving the weather to get this pearl!

Wow. The absolute only thing I would do is to shave a little off the left. Brilliant exposure!

This is a great shot. Several years ago I read an article titled, "Bad weather, Good pictures". This photo along with many on this forum continue to show this to be true. Keep up the good work.
