Barn Owl

Hi All,

This is one of my images that I was'nt 100% happy with. The original photo is a little soft and I did'nt like the "twigs" in front of him. I do however like the pose of the bird and eye contact, so I had a play in CS2 and added the effect of a watercolour painting.

What do you guys think of this? Bin it or keep it

Regards

Rob

I'd bin it . Sorry, but these filters do nothing for me, I mean, you might as well just paint it in the first place. Just my opinion of course.

Sorry Rob but I agree with Tom.

So sorry Rob, it just isn't my thing, I can appreciate trying to rescue an image that you would normally reject......

All the very best

Hi Rob

I don't mind a bit of Photoshopping to produce 'arty' style images but this doesn't work for me I am afraid. I think the watercolour blocking effect is too strong. The end result is blotchy and looks like some kind of painting by numbers thing. Try reducing the strength of the filter and go for a more subtle effect.

cheers
