Haven't been about much or out with the camera much either due to work load.
Decided to take a break this evening, so I spent a few minutes with one of the Eagle Owls I have the pleasure of working with.
This is what we both achieved. He loved it
Thanks for looking, off back to more work now

They eyes stand out amazingly in this photo, and really make the picture. Unbelievable colour. I do feel the background is too cluttered and distracting though, and the crop may be a bit tight.
Cheers,
Dan.

Hi Dan, thanks for the comments & the critique on the background, much appreciated
I have loads of flight shots with plain backgrounds, decided to go with this type of background tonight to try & create a bit natre elle, is that the right word Time was the essence here & it soon became to dark.
As Daniel, the eyes stand out, I also like the crop and the idea, but it is just too complicated to work here, the foregroud Eagle Owl has to stand out more.. if the bramble bush could have been more OOF then I think this would work very well indeed. still excellent, those eyes are fantastic.

The bg is the main drawback for me also Vince, but as time was limited, its good practice for you, and good exercise for the bird {may also be good exercise for you also......handholding that lens }.
Nice shot
Alan

Hi Vince,
Looks good to me , the eyes are stunning and I think the BG works fine
Forget the photography and get yourself a container for all those blackberries.
Homemade blackberry jam on cream crackers whilst doing a bit of image editing in the evenings makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

So he is the one eating the blackberries.... Great shot, Vincent
