Willow Warbler
One from today in it's fresh Autumn colours. I was really just hoping to get a shot of any bird on the Elderberries so it was a bit of bonus when the chap popped up as I'd have hapily settled for a Blue Tit

E-510, 300/f2.8 + 1.4TC, ISO 200, 1/500 @ f5.6. Cropped about 20% from right.

C&C welcome

Hi Paul

Lovely shot with great light on the bird. I like the setting too.

I would be tempted to try a more panoramic crop, a place the bird off center to the right, more of a variation than an improvement.

Excellent shot. :toast:

cheers

Beautiful photo, the settting in the berries and the complementary fresh yellow colors of the Warbler are great. :wavey:

Your E-Zuiko combo working well with the 510 body - feather detail looks excellent even at this resize. Is this IS mode 1 on a tripod, or with IS disabled?

OT - 6 weeks to go for E-3 speculation to end and Oly to come off the fence  I just hope the rumoured 11 AF points are not the same as this weeks Panny L10 announcement - which seems to be 11 live view sensor contrast zones only - DPreview the L10 overview suggests the existing 3 AF points only in the L10 body

An attractive bird in a very nice setting.

It's good looking setting and bird fits in there nicely.

It looks like your Zuiko have some not so good bokeh, as OOF highlights looks more like famous mirror lens donuts.

Cheers,
Marko

Hi Mike,

IS was switched off as I was using a tripod.

I doubt that the L10 shares any parts with the E-3 (well maybe the lens and tripod mounts  ). I expect it's AF system is based on the E-510. I can't believe it's only got a 3 shot RAW buffer though  No DOF preview either. But 2 control wheels. It's a bit of a curate's egg AFAICT.
