I captured this moment on a trip up to Artist Point this weekend. C&C appreciated, and thanks for looking!

This is gorgeous Kevin, I love the clouds over the mountain.

Glad to see there's still plenty of snow around the base of the mtn...I'm heading up there later this week. Nice composition and, of course, the sky and alpenglow are great. Maybe lighten the midground trees a little??

Beautiful scene, Kevin - ditto on brightening up the midground a bit.

The mg was the first thing I noticed. I need to see more detail. Awesome clouds, interesting fg rock...I like it.

Gorgeous alpen glow and clouds!!! On my monitor (brighter than most) the mid ground looks fine. But the foreground looks a little bright. Although that is a minor nit.
I just can't believe you took this 'recently.' How in the world does Mt. Baker have so much snow on it in Sept.???
Here in Colorado even our 14ers have little to no snow on them by the end of summer. So what gives out there? Do you have some kind of snow elves decorating the Mtns. at night for the photographers. Just curious.

Derek, this is the north side of Baker so it doesn't melt a whole lot. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Mt. Baker also has one of the highest snowfall accumulations in the country. Artist Point is only recently melted of snow. Plus, it doesn't hurt to make friends with the elves!

Sweet shot and now that I notice, the MG could use a little more details....
Grand shot, Kevin! Love it. Makes me want to head up there again! Maybe later in the weekÉ I think the weather is supposed to hold, and perhaps the summer crowds will be less?
And I believe you're right that Baker gets one of the highest snow accumulations. In the hundreds of feet isn't it? By comparison Rainier, St. Helens, et al, are pretty bare now.

Thanks everyone, for the suggestions. I lightened the middle ground a bit, and it definitely looks better. I posted the revision on ESS.
