The twilight world of Coniston water, Lake District England by the steam boat jetty. Taken on a breathlessly still summer morning 4.45am, just as the first rays of light grazed a dense bank of mist hanging wraith like above the water surface. For a few seconds the mist turned a soft hazy pink and the blue of twilight slowly fizzled out. Five minutes later the mist lifted and the day began.

A lovely tranquil scene.
Perhaps just a little bit too purple though especially on the left side of the frame and the surface of the jetty.Looks like you've also got a fair bit of colour banding radiating out from the center of the image.
Compositionally I think the jetty makes a stunning subject itself but I'm not too keen on the barbed wire fence if I'm honest.

If tranquillity have a face, your photo is a good portrait of it, Ian! It looks like your scanner have problems with highlight colour separation, as bands Justin mentioned are a bit too much. And as Justin, I too would prefer more of jetty and less fence. Although on the other hand two diagonals leading to the centre of the image is a good idea.

Very much like the shot. But the banding in the center does spoil it a bit for me.
