Hi,
I posted this in E,S,S a couple of days ago, but I thought I might as well put it up here too for anyone who missed it.
I spotted this channel snaking it's way towards the edge of the sea on a cloudy afternoon, thought it had potential so I came back again another day with the 4x5. Then I realized that the sun was going to drop right down into the middle of my shot . However, as the sun neared the horizon, I was surprised to find that the contrast had fallen within my film's range, and I got my image.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Tom.

I quite like this - a couple of things to play around & try out...
-try cropping a bit more of the foreground so that the water channel actually leads in from the lower left corner.
- try cropping in a bit more from the top to give a letterbox shape.
BTW, Light certainly doesn't always travel in straight lines (if you want to know how/why then see this...).

Thanks for the comment Nick, I'll play around with a crop, though I am fairly happy with it, what do others think?
Thanks for the link, I was actually aware that light doesn't always travel in straight lines, but I was trying to think of a better title than "Holme Beach" .
