Having checked the weather for today and seen a big sun on the chart,I stupidly thought that it was going to be a sunny day, wrong!!so I got up a 5am and went, and found this lovely lady deep in the wood,as the light was so bad I had to shoot at 500 ISO and 2.8 at 1/25th sec, but she kept so still I think I got away with it. I was using a deer call, and she came to within 15feet of me, and seemed almost mesmerized by the call,as this is the first time I have used the call I was most impressed...

It looks you got away with it, Stewart. At least in this small size it looks decently sharp. And I like soft light in the forest. A more contrasty light might bring out ugly shadows, that you avoided.

Cheers,
Marko

Nice shot, seen these in my local wood, but didnt have a camera on me at the time. The call device, how much and where from?

Lovely shot, all I usually get is the rear end rapidly disappearing into the bushes...

Thanks for the comments,as far as the call is concerned its a "Buttolo" Decoy and any good hunting shop will sell them,I think it was about £20,but it is very impressive....
