(Rattus norvegicus) Been laid up for last couple of weeks after an operation but managed to get out a couple of evenings a go. Noticed a family of rats near to where I park my car for my local NR hide and so I thought I'd have a go at getting a shot of one of them. Trouble was is that they were usually partially hidden by long grass so I found a broken branch and propped it up with a rock. A bit of my sandwich to entise them up and hey presto! Unfortunately this spot was pretty dark so not much chance to stop down to get more DoF, hence the best shot being this side on one. They moved pretty quickly as well so lots of blurred shots!
Thanks

Agre about the tail clipping, but good to see photos of a very disliked species.
