One of the most delicate finds of the weekend...

Geez Ned, these macros are killer. I'm getting confused... are your Falls Fenimore, or Flowers Fenimore?

These have all been well done and are beautifully shot, Ned, but please forgive me for not commenting as I'm not really too interested in this subject matter.

Thanks for the comments! No problem, Mark/Marc - I know you two are big on landscapes..
Ah, Ned, you're killin' me! The color is so sublime, almost indescribable.

Okay, I believe it will just be Fabulous Fenimore from now on. That should cover just about everything.

This is a nice shot, and this series is inspiring me to try some floral detail shots. The movement of the color tone across the image is really strong to me. Was any flash used in this image?
One thing I noticed is it seems a bit over sharpened on the fringes of the petals mid upper frame. I can't figure out if this is oversharpening of the dew drops, or actually a serrated petal/powder on the petal.

Thank you for the comments and support!
Chris - actually no flash at all. I'm no good with flash at all - preferring natural light. Before the sun hit the horizon I shot them directly, then as the harsh light started hitting them, I metered and shot them in the shade created by my body..
