From a classic outing in the mountains of WA. I've been held back from hiking for a few weeks due to a fairly rigorous work schedule, but hope to return to similar consistency soon. Enjoy. . .

I really like your composition and the lighting. The only suggestion would be to try and bring out a little detail in the MG trees.

Dang, Trevor, how about giving me a break or something! Jeez Louise, Holy Moly and all that!
Did you do a little Orton to this? It looks dreamy.
Thanks for the comments/suggestions, marks. It's not necessarily orton, but I have been experimenting with different sharpening techniques as of late.

THis is the sort of shot I wish I could take:)
The exposure, framing, and contrast throughout is beautiful. What a great landscape too. Was this a double processed RAW or composited exposure? It does look like a little bit of soft focus technique was used on the FG and MG. I thing the grass in the FG would be more effective without the soft halo-ing.

Very nice Trevor. You say "classic" Cascades outing, but I cannot identify the location. That's what I like about your photos - always someplace like this where there probably haven't been a lot of tripods. I might try to get a bit more of the peak reflected in the pool... but that might require a wade.

After looking at this a couple times, I'd suggest two things.
1 - Pull the highlights up a bit. The brighter tones throughout the image, with the exception of the sunlit patches of snow, look muted - the sky and the peak especially.
2 - The MG trees could use a little brightning, but I think the grass would see more of a benefit of a brightening than the trees would. It seems too 'flat' for an anchor to me.
