Monument Rock
Here is another taken the night of the eclipse. This was a little earlier than my last post. 30D, f/4.5, ISO 400, 15 sec. I want to go back on another full moon night, one that has no wind :). Comments/critique welcome. Thanks, Rob.

Another nice image Rob. Nice capture of the light on the rock, with the dark clouds overhead gives the image an otherworldly feeling to it. Nice job!

A nice and moody version of Monument rocks - very nice! The rocks stand out very nicely against the dark sky and foreground. I am left wondering why you were shooting at 400, though.

Thanks. I was using ISO 400 to cut down exposure time in the 20+mph winds. There was no cover to shoot from for this pic, so I stood between the camera and the wind to block some of the wind.

Another nice shot of the "rocks" Rob. They seem to lend themselves to the "otherworldly" theme well, given the right cloud conditions. I've got to get out there someday and take a crack at these!
