Nice tender image. I like the light, it looks pretty soft, shot in the morning? As sometimes it can be a bit harsh on images from africa.

Late afternoon, I was struggling a bit but very glad I had a fast VR lens.

Nice cap Tim - like the calfs' ears especially :toast:

Is it just my eyes playing up Tim or can I see some horizontal banding at the very top of the frame in the pale OoF BG?

Nope I can't see it Andy, blown it up big and no show. I'll have a peek on my desktop in one of my up and wondering periods.

Hi Adrian,
This was taken on one of my best days at a park called Hluhluwe, pronounced Slooshoowee, I think also known as Umfolozi game reserve. The big five can be seen apparantly, beware aggressive elephants we got chased off by one, I have pictures of a herd of a hundred, the noises where amazing.
My trip was a big tour of SA, so a tiny taste of many places, if I were to go again I'd try and spend several days in one area such as this game reserve. Kruger is beautiful as well, I think its prettier bush wise.
Have fun.

Tim
PS Avoid Knysna boat trips, its the third most dangerous port it the world, I'm lucky to be alive.
