The rains of the last few days made for a foggy Sunday morning everywhere, but I expect nowhere more than the Buffalo River canyon.

Hey, I know where that view is from - you can see the top of the hill right behind my cabin - it is the tallest ridge on the right center, with Dug Hollow being the fold just on this side of it. The old Hedges homesite is the closest land on the other side of the river in the lower left of this photo - the river was happy to get the 3" of rain that we got this past few days, and it looks like the clouds were dancing!

Yes, it's the famous Tim Ernst Overlook on Cave Mountain. Wonderful views, but that 3-mile uphill hike to get to it is a killer. Maybe someday they'll build a road that runs right by it.

Nice view, Randy. I'm getting so out of shape, I'd never make that three mile hike up the road, er, I mean trail. Was there any water at the pour-off? I'm glad the river got a good shower, but I could have done without it on Saturday. I didn't even bother to hang my work at the art festival...just took off to Teakettle Falls, which was just a trickle. Speaking of which, was the second framed print I sold yesterday. :jump: It was one I took it back in January, when we crossed paths.

Just a trickle at the pour-off as well, but I go there for the view anyway. I actually was thinking about going back to Kettle Hollow over the weekend, too, but ended up heading over to the Buffalo instead.

Glad to hear someone's making a little money at this thing.
