I don't know if I ever posted this image here. It was on ESS at one point, but I don't believe I cross posted.

This is just one from the Gorge I never processed until here of late. It is one of four I will be showing this month in the Bank of America down at Lincoln City for a few months. Rick was invited too, and we are looking forward to the opportunity..

Ruckel Creek with an emphasis on the incredible mosses and ferns this particular Spring.

Ned,
I remember this one. The lighting is perfect and the greens look natural. I have the same comp(If this was shot around the Eagle Creek area in the gorge) Mine was shot in poor lighting with some spots of sun. The light just killed the scene for me. Funny how light mkes such a huge difference.

well, I like it... good comp with very nice placement of the elements. my only nit would be a lack of texture to the water

Mmmm.. I love it! Beautiful comp, and perfectly executed.

Another forest beauty, Ned. Way to go to get your images out there, too. :toast:

Great comp Ned! The greens are right on and the fern in the LC is what makes it for me.

Ned, this one is sweet. The light and processing are top notch buddy!

Yeah, I love this one. I usually don't like Oregon rainforest shots, but the composition with the slanted tree, and the slight color shift of the foreground fern is very nice.

The tree and the fern are nice, but I'm not so hot on the stream intersecting the edge of the picture on the right. I also get a hint of this being too busy because my eye keeps skipping around to different parts of the image to focus on (largely the tree).

Awesome, Ned. Obviously the colours are amazing and the exposure bang-on, but what really inspires me is how you are able to take something that appears so chaotic and put it into some sense of order. One of the best comps I've seen given the subject matter. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with the show.

Really nice Ned! I always struggle to capture the beauty of the forests here, and this photo does a great job of it. My only nit would be to agree with Bryan on the stream being too close to the edge on the right in the background.

Really nice, Ned!

Wait, Rick's invited? What, to buy your pics? :wavey:

Ned, you've kind of got a lock on the Northwest fern-moss-and-stream thing. :) It's been photographed so much, but your images are Fresh with a capital F (in my esteem). Though I haven't seen it for a while, you have one image (if I recall right) in which we look down an embankment with a cluster of ferns in the foreground. The image has a circular feel to it. You know which one I'm trying to describe? At any rate--it's a four-star super classic!

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment and the suggestions... and yes, I do agree about the edge of frame intrusion... I was avoiding, perhaps too much, a tangle of clutter on that side. If the stream is ever this good again, (I don't foresee it, it was awesome this day), I'd sure like to do some retakes!
