Teton Barn
I think this could be the most photographed barn in the country, but I had to get my shot it. This was a great morning and everything came together at the right time. This is one of the Moulton barns. This one has a pointed roof and the other one is more rounded. Comments are welcome.

I like this shot - the foreground frames it nicely and draws my eye in. Mostly I am attracted to the roof peak and how it is echoed by the mountain in the background. I also like the slanted roof line on the left being reflected in the left slope of the mountain and again repeated by the right roof line and the ridges rising up the mountains on the right - all leading to the clouds which let my eye float back out of the picture. Pretty wordy way of saying nice comp.

Nice shot. I like the way the trees frame the other elements in this composition. I don't think I've seen this icon photographed that way before. It's nice to see a fresh take on it. There is a subtle curve from the clouds through the mountain and down the roof line of the barn that's very pleasing. The trees, barn, mountains, and clouds all fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. I think a small crop off the bottom enhances that effect.

Hi Rodney, very nice shot!! Using tree branches to frame shots seems to have passed out of style but I still like this. One suggestion is to crop down from the top to just above the upper center cloud to get rid of the distracting bright and dark branches in the top left. This crop also "lightens" the weight of the tree on the right and I think adds better balance.

I love the cloud and roof peak that mimics the Grand Teton, but have a personal problem with branches as a lead-in. I like aspen boles, or other bold lines, but in this case, I think the branches are simply too distracting from what is otherwise spectacular. I hope that you shot it a number of different ways. Just my .02 - as you can see, other folks realy like your image.

Very, very nice shot. Framing, composition, etc, etc. All good!
