Looking Ahead ...
Between work and travels I haven't been out shooting much, but did take some time to work up some more B&W conversions from last winter. This is from the Brecksville Reservation -- a footbridge over Chippewa Creek on Feb 15. Only got stuck in the snow once that day.

Jack, I shot this the same day as the Hale House image.

D70s, 18-70 @ 27mm, 1/50 @ f/18, tripod, polarizer. Converted in PS using Hue/Sat adjustment layers and curves.

Chuck,

Really nice. The snow is perfect, bot even close to a blow out. I usually don't like water moving toward the camera ( if it is--looks like it) but I don't mind this at all. (PS--snow level on Mt Hood tonight might be 6000')--we are getting there too!.

"I usually don't like water moving toward the camera"

Jack: Probably a stupid question (won't be me first). But why?

Andy,

No real reason, I just usually don't ( but in this image it works fine). I really don't have a reason for it other than, I usually like things coming towards me, not away. I am really weird sometimes when it comes to stuff. For example, ( again, maybe I am just goody?) but I think rain looks better than fake rain ( i.e. mist bottles, hoses/ sprinklers) .. I could go on but I think you get my drift. Again, I like water coming towards me not away, Imagine shooting going into the beach instead of coming towrards you? Hay maybe that would work!
