Just flew back from almost three weeks in Kenya, of which part of it was spent with Andy Rouse. The migration is an awesome spectical to see and to be part of it was fantastic. This image is of mum who we watched for almost an hour and a half as she stalked her prey, but sadly gave up. Here she is surveying her teritory whilst her cubs play in the long grass.

Must of been awesome to watch and photograph the cheetah
A great shot, with a great BG.Tho its a tad tight on the right, plus some more room on the left for her to look into into would of been nice(is this a crop ?).

Wow, I have a cheetah but nothing like this, gorgeous shot. In the parks I went to cheetah's are comparatively rare to leopards and lions, never saw a leopard though.
Alan & Andy - Full frame shot, cubs were playing behind her so that it was the only way I could crop the shot without anything distracting from her. Landscape was even tighter.
Tim - Cheetah was available if you knew where to find them, or not :-) Leopard was proving more difficult except for Samburu where I manged to get some decent shots, will post tomorrow.

Even though it's a bit tight in the frame it's still a great shot.

Hi Stephen. Good to see you got some images out of your trip. We spent a long time looking for the cheetah's on the termite mounds but only found one young female. Got close ups, but it was a shot like this that I was after. Good work. Yes, it is a bit tight but still a great shot

Hmmm, much better this way than including some mess. It's a great looking cheetah.
Thank you ladies & gentlemen for your comments. I am pleased with it too, however comments above I would agree on, but as said before. 'That's life' :-)
Will be posting more soon.
