Hi All,
I have been a little busy getting this little chap used to a few of the props I have placed in my garden for him to land on, thankfully he is now starting to get the hang of it.
I had to use my remote for this one because my garden to not big enough for me to lie flat with the camera in front of me, without being too close to the Robin, so the camera was outside and I triggered it from my warm and cosy front room!
Techs:
Nikon D2X, 200-400MM, Remote, tripod splayed flat, beanbag on top of camera to prevent vibration, camo net to cover the 'rig',
1/125th sec at F6.3,
C and C welcome
Kind regards
Chris.

That's the way to do it... if you can! Well done, Chris. Like this a lot. Was the camera on autofocus or did you manually set it up? Nice clean shot.

Elliot,
Thanks very much for your comment.
No the camera was set on manual to prevent the AF whizzing off as soon as the button was pushed. This was the first time I have ever tried this and by the looks of things, it certainly won't be the last!
Thanks and regards
Chris.

What a lovely shot Chris, seeing this makes me realise I should give my remote a go that's been sitting in my bag since I bought it Mind you it'd be helpful if I actually had a garden to practise in

Nice one Chris - I like shots which show animals using human 'stuff'
Nice crisp detail and nice smooth BG - wish I'd had one of those this morning
