Put this over on the flora forum and thought I might get a couple more opinions here, too..
Here is a dahlia I shot at the same gardens I have been visiting - just this last weekend. I arrived mid morning instead of early morning as I try to do to beat the wind. The clouds were just breaking up when I happened upon a row of this beautiful variety. It was getting some substantial side and back lighting, plus the breeze was getting to be almost too persistent. Fortunately, I was able to get a few shots of this specimen.
Posted here is the version in the orientation that I shot, and the link will take you to another shot that I rotated to the right 90 degrees. I was wanting to get some opinions on what orientation seems to work the best for everyone. Thanks so much for your valued opinions!

Ned,
I can see why my bro has this on his desktop. It is an excellent shot. I do notice that the same layer of pedals on the right are cropped more than the ones on the left. Maybe a little more room on the right would work better. IMHO!
