Redshank
Canon 500mm f/4L IS with 1.4x and 40D, ISO 200, 1/400, f/8 in Av mode, beanbag from hide.

This was taken on my very first outing with my 40D. I've tried various crops and this is the one I liked the most. The Redshank was looking away from me at the time so a quick whistle was called for to attract its attention

Thanks

'Whistling at the birds' - I'll have to try that one to see if it works!

Lovely shot by the way!

Chris.
