My friend recommended the organization to me, but when I look at their site www.pmpa.net they seem to be oriented more toward the commercial photography like portraits etc. rather than nature.
Does anybody have any experience with that organization and knowledge what kind of benefit the membership with them would bring?
Thanks

My neighbor across the street is was the president and is still connected with them. I'm a member and attend some of the meetings here in SE Portland. They are more commercial but the cover helpful topics at time and have speakers come in to share their experiences. I've learned more than enough for the small annual fee and have made some nice contacts with people that also do landscape/nature photography. I've entered and won some of the competitions they hold. They organize outings sometimes but they are more mid day shooters than sunrise/set shooters.
I recommend going to one of the meetings - I might see you there..... See for yourself if they are for you.

Thanks John. On their internet site they say they meet every second Thursday and the PMPA address is 30789 Boones Ferry Rd. Ste. M in Wilsonville. You mentioned SE Portland, however. Which place is the actual meeting place? Do you have the exact address of the SE Portland place? Plus, what time do they meet?
