I have no Kingfisher photo's so thought I'd have a go at one I've been watching for a while (12 months!) near a place of work (UGHHH).
Problem is, it's in a narrow, high-sided ditch (which I had to get into).

There has been some fantastic Kingfisher shots posted lately, and this one is aswell.
Cracking colours and detail in the feathers.Very nice comp and pose also.

Well it was certainly worth the effort of getting into the ditch, excellent pose and bg, bird is sharp, only very minor nit is the perch, which is not an insurmountable thing..
Def up there with some of the best portraits.

Hi ARD,
This is certainly a good image well exposed and composed, well worth standing in a ditch for !!!!
Good work

There are not many things that are worth sitting in a ditch for, but this has to be one of them. Well done - its a lovely shot!
