I am now thinking of upgrading my old version of photoshop 7 to cs3. I see there is an photoshop cs3(upgrade edition) and am thinking of purchasing it. Before i do can anyone tell me if this upgrade would be compatable with my old version 7 photoshop.Or will i have to purchase the complete cs3 package. Thanks .Matt.

Matt, check Adobe's site for details, but I'm sure this will work. BTW, the upgrade is actually a full version, but the license key (and initial install file, I believe) determines how it's treated on install. I upgraded from CS and simply installed CS3 into a new directory with the upgrade code and now I'm able to run both versions which I'll do until I'm up to speed on CS3.

Matt,
If you do go to the Adobe site, also check out the support forums, especially for Bridge. It is extremely buggy, to the point I cannot use it for entering metadata, labels, and ratings. I still use CS2 Bridge. Granted there are some nice additions to the Photoshop side of CS3 but since you don't have a good working version of Bridge in PS7, the CS2 might be a good upgrade point. I would think you can find a cheap CS2 upgrade on ebay these days.

Thanks for your help. I think that maybee cs2 would propably be best for me right now as i already have the book for cs2 and im not very good at working out technical problems either. Iii take a look at the adobe site and see what i can find. Thanks again.
