I couldn't edit Josh's story topic, which mentions trees rather than snow, so i'll just add this update as a new topic.
This weekend's storm continues to slow down, meaning probably wont see the heay rains until sunday morning, and snow accumulations will be confined to the highest elevations (13K+). Could still see some snow down to the passes in showers by mon-tue, when snow levels fall a bit. I would not be surprised to see some 6+ inch amounts by tuesday, especially from the elks/raggeds NW to RMNP. better than nothing
watch out for rock/mud slides this weekend!

Man, my heart starts to race when I hear reports like this. The mountains so desperately need snow, b/c those gold aspen leaves just look soooo much better with snowcapped peaks as a backdrop. Bring it on!
