Hi to all,
Bluethroat , photographed at Kilnsea this morning , this is a first winter bird and most likely a female.
Although its a pretty drab looking bird , unlike the male of the species which is stunning , it was a real pleasure to photograph as I'd never seen one before.
Super... looks good to me, although not 100% sure about the habitat.... does that make sense?

Yes lovely image Andy.
The Female is still a stunning looking bird in her own way.

Great cap Andy, and I like the comp aswell - great how the birds tail matches the strong OoF diagonal in the BG - nice one

Hi to all,
Thanks for the comments , their much appreciated.
Hi Phil,
The habitat is part of the old sea defences on Kilnsea beach , I think with a rare bird like a Bluethroat you take what your given , perfect perches aren't always possible.
